YES Abroad Participants Reflect on Their Exchange

Thirteen 2013-14 returning YES Abroad participants visited the U.S. State Department on July 14, 2014 to speak about their ten months overseas in South Africa (5) and Indonesia (8). Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Evan Ryan dropped in during country presentations and spoke informally with the group. The Assistant Secretary congratulated them on their choice to participate in the YES Abroad program and their status as Department of State exchange alumni.
