Jordan cohort recently visited Jordanian peers at the Crown Prince Foundation in As-Salt

One of the important opportunities and responsibilities for participants on the #YESAbroad program is to share about their own culture and learn about the host community's culture.

The Jordan cohort recently visited Jordanian peers at the Crown Prince Foundation in As-Salt and learned more from them about Jordanian culture while sharing some about American culture as well. It was a great opportunity for all of the students to make new friends and collaborate.


Sophie in Morrocco

Sophie in Morocco shared about an excursion the group went on recently, "During our trip to Chefchaouen and Tangier we went on a hike! This is me with my language partner and some of our group "swimming" (it was so so so cold but we did our best)"

While excursions will look very different in each host country, they offer a great chance to see other parts of the country and understand more than just one town or city.


Killian, hosted in India, recently joined his host family in celebrating Janmashtami!

Killian, hosted in India, recently joined his host family in celebrating Janmashtami! Janmashtami is a Hindu festival, honoring the birth of Krishna with enactments of the life of the deity and singing until midnight, the time of his birth.
