Every other month, our school gets a 15-day vacation. During our break, the seven of us went to the opening of the new art museum, volunteered at a Halloween party at the Embassy, went to the Salé weekly souk, and took a three-day road trip into the Middle Atlas mountain region of Morocco. The landscape and the entire experience were absolutely breathtaking. The collective highlight of our group was definitely hiking down a mile-high mountain in Oulmes to visit a natural sulfur springs "hammam," or public bath. The hike back up was not so easy, but the hard work was worth it! All in all, the perfect hiatus from the busy city life of Rabat.
