During the month of January, YES Abroad students kicked off the start of their second semester by coming together in new cities, cheering for their host country's team, and giving back to the community.

Bosnia and Herzegovina:

The Bosnia and Herzegovina cohort rang in this milestone out in the snow in Igman, where they engaged in activities that prompted reflecting on their first half of the program and charting goals for their remaining time abroad. The cohort reflected, “These past 5 months have been amazing, each one more spectacular than the last, and now we stand facing the five ahead of us with excitement and courage.”

India:

Current students - who are placed all around India - met up in Udaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, for their Mid-Stay Orientation. Established as a city in 1559. Udaipur is known for its history, culture, and scenery, including well-known temples and the seven lakes surrounding the city.

Morocco:

After attending a soccer match, on program student, Jack, recounts how "Everyone's shared love for football felt connecting, and participating alongside Moroccans united with pride made me proud too."

Thailand:

Haken presented and sharing with children at schools near his host community in the north of Thailand, including practicing English!
